Be Fine Warming Mask

I got this months ago and used it on and off for a little while and it was one of those products that just fell by the wayside as I just forgot about it. Then about a two months ago, I saw it sitting all lonely on my shelf and thought, hmm my face could use you right now. Since then it has become a weekly if not twice weekly ritual in the shower.

Be Fine used to be sold at Ulta but they are no longer carrying it so you can find it on their website.

I prefer to use this mask in the shower as it is easier to work with. Its quite thick in texture and the warmth and steam from the shower softens it a bit. PLUS the best thing about this mask is that when you spread it across your skin it warms and I LOVE that feeling. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and healthy. It feels plumper and like its been pampered.
I love this mask and will continue to repurchase it which says a lot since I don't think I have ever repurchased a mask, ever.
If you go try this out, please let me know what you think as well. Id love to hear!

Quick OOTD

Just what I wore to go out and about, running some errands and such. I thought it was cute and springy, esp the colors. What do you think?

April Favorites 2012

April was a bit of an odd month for me, I didn't really stick to any certain look or string of products I kind of just jumped around as far as what I was in the mood for and have been trying out some new things.
So this is what I came up with that I really thought was worth sharing.

First up is this white cardigan from Forever21. I believe I got it on sale a month or two back and I am pretty sure it was $16-18, so not to bad. I love this thing, it seems to be my savior when I think I need a little more coverage but I can take it off if I feel too hot (I am in the humid Texas weather ya know). Its simple, sweet and girly. I love it!

Another two items I had to feature were the Revlon eye shading brush, I love this brush for blending out the crease and softening up any harsh colors. Its a definite go to brush for me.

As well as the Josie Maran Argan Oil, I personally use this on my face, I add a drop or two to my night moisturizer and rub it in my skin, I feel this has been a real reason why my skin tone and texture has improved so much, my skin has evened out a lot and the texture is baby smooth. Love this product!

Two makeup products that I think are so amazing for the warmer sunnier months are the Laura Geller Spackle makeup primer (left). It has a bit of sheen to give you that extra glow without looking greasy or oily as well as making your makeup last a little longer. Then there is Benefits Highbeam highlighter which everyone knows and this has just been my go to highlighter when I feel I need a little extra umph.

Lastly  is the E.L.F eyebrow kit in medium as well as the Eyebrow and Lash gel, I use the wax side mostly and just use the brush it came with, every now and then if i want fuller brows I will use the powder but usually just the wax then topped with the gel, Its amazing and a perfect match for my brows. At only $3 you cant go wrong!

What were your stand out products this month?!

Empties #2

So this month I didn't really go through any makeup products (its harder then ya think). Though I did end up finishing up some more skincare items and other bits and bobs. Here they are! :)

 1. Candy Cane body was by philosophy - $16
2. Ponds evening soothe face wipes -  $5
3. Home Scents candles - $8
4. Burts Bees sensitive eye cream - $14
5. L'oreal Preference deep conditioner - Came with box dye from gosh knows when
6. Neutrogena healthy skin face powder - $12
(I know I didn't actually finish this up though it is way way to light for me now and is getting a tad old so I thought best to just toss it, though I did hit major pan!)

The candles were a bit I really wanted to address because I previously posted about soy candles and how I had used up two of those in the past weeks. Well these two which are your typical candle I also finished up just a day or two ago. These are also from Target and they both smell amazing but they were quite different from the soy candles.

As you can see they have this black ring or rather stain, I am not sure but you can see from the photos and it started out small just around the top ring of the glass jar but got bigger as the candles burned further. It is a little off putting and is not at all appealing to look at. I have another one of these specific candles burning in my room at the moment and I love the scent but am not at all a fan of the soot ring it leaves behind, I may just stick to soy candles from now on seeing as they do not leave even the slightest residue. (at lease my last two didn't).

Hope you all enjoyed! Did you get through any products this month?

Cheap Shoes

Lets get one thing straight, right off the bat, I am not the kind of girl to spend big bucks on shoes. I cannot justify it because I always end up ruining them later on anyways, I buy shoes yes for the appearance of them but also for the comfort and I recognize that they wont last forever because I will wear them out and they will receive their fair share of wear and tear.

So that said, I went to Payless the other day because I knew I wanted a simple pair of nude flats, as well as the nude flats I also picked up some maroon moccasins and some fake maroon toms shoes. I ended up spending around $35 which was worth it in my book :)

What do you think? I already have a pair of Brown Moccasins but they are about to be on their last leg so I saw these and thought YES!
Do you shop at payless?
What are your shoe preferences?

Favorite Nude Lip Combo ATM

I have always loved nude lips, wether it was paired with a smokey eye or even paired with a simple understated eye to give a more natural appearance to my overall look.

I have had the Buxom Lipgloss in Samantha for well over a year now, I want to say about two years really. I got it in some buxom kit that was on sale at Sephora back when and at the time I don't think you were able to get it seperately however now it is part of the permanent Buxom Lipgloss line. If you are a lover of nude lips or nude glosses, GO CHECK THIS OUT. It has that minty/tingly/cooling feel that a lot of plumping glosses have. I personally love that feeling.

A couple days ago I decided to pair it with the ever coveted Revlon Colorbusrt Lipstick in Soft Nude and was amazed! The Revlon Lipstick looks so perfect on my lips now that I have a bit of a summery tan. Its a light beige nude with more of a peach undertone then pink but suits my skin well.

Paired together these work fabulously and I can already tell this is going to be my go to nude lip for the duration of this summer and coming fall.

What do you lovelies think? What are some of your favorite nude lip combinations?

Boots Botanics Organic Rosewater Toner

I bought this months ago, probably, I'd say about four or more ago. I have never had a good relationship with toners, I have tried drugstore toners, spray toners, higher end ones from Sephora and such. They all caused big breakouts or just irritated my skin. I was hesitant but since I hadn't tried one in a good while I figured I would give it a shot.

I bought mine from Target seeing as in the US thats the only place I know Boots to be sold at. It was $8.99 which is right in the middle for price wise. When i first started using this I really enjoyed it, I had some breakouts at the time and I felt it really helped to get out any crud that was in my pores even after cleansing, it seemed to help my face clear up nicely and quickly without leaving any horrendous scars behind.
I then stopped using it because I thought it had been drying my face out a tad, only to find out it was really the cleanser I was using at the time. So I am back on the bandwagon for this product.

I only use it once a day, (in the evenings) after cleansing and before my moisturizer and serum. I really do think it helps keep breakouts and spots at bay while leaving my skin clean and smooth. It has also helped to level out the oiliness of my skin. I find that moisturizer sinks into my skin better after I use this rather then just sitting on top of my skin leaving some sort of residue.

Overall I really enjoy this product. I am finding it to be a must have for me in the evenings, not so much in the morning but once a day is the perfect dose for my skin.

Do you use a toner? Which ones do you prefer?

Maybelline Define a Lash

This is one of Maybelline's older mascaras but I saw it in the drugstore and thought, hmm I wouldn't mind giving it a go. I believe I have tried this mascara before but I am not quite sure of my opinion back in the day. Maybelline has two Define A Lash types of mascara, a lengthening one (green tube) and the volume one (pink tube)

Overall this mascara is good at separating your lashes and giving a little volume but nothing amazing, it defines them (hence the name) but again I wouldn't run out and buy this mascara, its an oldie but a goodie as well. Good ol stand by if your looking for simple pretty natural-esque lashes.

What are some of your favorite drugstore mascaras?

NOTD April 16th 2012

While I was shopping with my mom I saw this nail polish by Color Club which I have seen on various beauty blogs but have never come across myself. I really liked it and picked it up, popped it on over a L'oreal nail polish and this is what it came out as.

L'oreal polish: I pink I'm in love
Color Club polish: Wish upon a rock-star

I quite like it :)

Fresh Flowers

I was inspired by Sarah Hawkinson whom is a beauty blogger and youtuber as you might say, I absolutely love her videos and her blog is beautiful! Anyways so she mentioned that she had recently gotten some fresh flowers for her room thought hmmmm... thats a really good idea! Flowers brighten your mood, and are always pretty so I was grocery shopping with my mom the other day and I thought I would check out their selection and I am so glad I did.

The first set I bought were lilies which are my favorite flowers in the whole entire world, I cannot stress enough how much I adore lilies. I set them up on my makeup table area which I thought to be a nice addition.

Next I bought these flowers which are typical white daisies but they were so pretty and fresh looking I thought why not! The best part was that each set were only $4. You heard me! $4!!

So I set these pretty babies up on my computer table/desk area.

I am loving the new additions to my room and think every girl should have some fresh flowers around somewhere, just a nice pick me up.

Soy Candles?

I was not to long ago in Target looking for some candles for my bedroom. I love having at least two, if not upwards of four or five candles burning in my room at one time. I love the natural lighting it gives during the evenings and its just soothing and puts me right to sleep.
SO ANYWAYS, I came across these soy candles and thought to myself.... hmmmm.... SOY candles?
Why soy? There has to be some benefit or reason right?
Well soy candles are better for what you would call "clean burning" they don't omit  those bad toxins into the air that regular candles do.
I bought two that day and plan to go back for more since i burned them down to nothing recently but if your in the market for some new candles, definitely look out for soy candles.
The two that i purchased and LOVED were:

They both smell amazing
Check them out at your local target and let me know what you think.
The only downside I want to mention about these candles, I am not sure if its these in particular or just soy candles in general is that they burn a tad quicker, not by much just a little but I thought I would at least mention it.

March Favorites!

 March Favorites!
A little late, I know, but rather late then never :)

 So here they are!
Drum Roll Pleaseeee

Buxom Cream EyeShadow in Mutt
I love this as a base for my eyeshadows, I have found on its own IT WILL crease and that's not quite the look I am going for. Under eyeshadow is looks amazing though, its your typical bronzy slightly shimmery cream shadow, very smooth and very ease to apply. The nice thing about this though is that I have had it for almost a year and it hasn't shown any signs of drying up or anything!

Mac Blush in Tenderling
I love love love love this blush for everyday, it just gives a natural color to your cheeks, its perfect for a natural flush on the cheeks, I really recommend everyone have this blush because its so simple yet looks so good!

Mac 109 Brush
I don't know what I was doing without the brush for so long, it is PERFECT for contouring and that's all I use it for, it doesn't shed too badly for me, I know some people complain about it shedding but very rarely does it ever shed on me, though maybe its because i only use it with powder products. Idk, either way I LOVE THIS BRUSH! :)

Blue Owl Necklace from Target
For the past month I have been wearing this along with my Cross Necklace that my boyfriend gave me for my birthday but I don't quite know what it is about this necklace, I love the color and its small and cute and perfect for spring.

L'oreal Liquid Liner in Black
I had always heard about how awesome this liquid liner is, if you like felt tip liners you will love this one! It is very easy to use, even for me (I suck at liquid liner). It stays on all day, the one thing i don't like about this product is that it dries to a satin finish, so it has that shine to it and I just set it with a matte black eyeshadow to fix that.

Elf Tinted Moisturizer in Nude
If you are going to try this out do not worry to much about your color selection just guesstimate and you will be fine. This reminds me a lot of the Jouer Moisture Tint, very very light coverage but just hides discoloration and evens out skin tone a bit. Doesn't look like your wearing makeup though i do recommend setting it with a powder if you have combo or oily skin.

Stila Naturaleyes Eye Shadow Palette
I have been reaching for this palette all month long, mostly been using the color KITTEN all over the lid, GILDED GOLD in the crease and BARE on the brow bone, I love this palette, great color selection, the one thing is that these shadows are almost too soft, so they can have some fallout, just be careful not to dig your brush into the shadows as you will make them crumble.

Hope you all enjoyed!
