Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains: (Honey and Precious)

Overall they have great pigmentation and surprisingly they do stain your lips. I personally have very dry lips and while these are the most moisturizing lip stain I have ever tried I still need a lip balm underneath. Anyone with more comfortable lips should be fine though. The colors available offer a pretty good selection of nudes, pinks, reds and raspberry colors. They run about $7-9 depending on where you buy. They have definitely earned a spot in my handbag this summer and are a go to stain for any girl on the go! :) Revlon hit a home run with these bad boys I have to say.

L'oreal Color Riche Lip Balms: (Rose Taffeta and Sunset Angora)

The color selection of these is pretty good one as well, though they are more on the neutral side. They are very moisturizing and give decent color payoff with a glossy finish. They run about the same $6-9 depending where you go. They are extremely moisturizing and though they don't last as well as the Revlon Lip Stains they are still a favorite of mine and I have my sights set on some of the other shades. They are so easy to pull off and a great option for day to day wear. Go check them out if you haven't already!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Range Review

I posted a couple weeks back that I stopped by The Body Shop to pick up some skincare necessities since I had been suffering from some rosacea breakouts and sensitivity issues. I have dry skin and saw from a couple fellow bloggers and girls I love to watch on YouTube that The Body Shop's Vitamin E range was quite good. I went all out and purchased practically the whole line.

Cleanser - $14.50

Toner - $12.50

Moisturizer - $16.50

Face Mist - $16.00

Now as for how all of these items worked out, the cleanser left my skin feeling soft and clean but not at all tight or stripped which was a nice change from most cleansers I use. The Hydrating Toner was a bit of a stretch for me because toners have never worked out in the past but this didn't leave my skin tight or dried out. It felt nourished though I wouldn't say it was really hydrated all that much. The moisturizer was in between a lotion and a thick cream which felt nice and refreshing, it sunk in quick and left me moisturized yet not greasy. Lastly the facial mist, it was not something I used often just because it made me really nervous. I haven't had good luck with face mists or toners in the past as they have all broken me out so I was hesitant to really give this a good try. I did use it a couple of times and from what i could tell it worked in the sense that it hydrated my skin when I felt a bit dry and I used it alone as well as over my makeup. I wouldn't say it should be used as a setting spray by any means but as a refresher though out the day.

Overall these products were a middle of the line type of range. Nothing too extraordinary but definitely not horrible. 

NOW, that the basic review is out of the way I HAVE to mention that all but one of these products contain quite a bit of artificial fragrance, which for me, with my skin condition (being rosacea) is HORRIBLE. I really liked all of these products however, because of the large amount of fragrance in them they caused a bit of a rash on my skin. I have come to find that fragrance, alcohol, and mineral oil are not good for my skin what so ever, I always end up with a bumpy rash on my skin. Very similar looking to acne though not filled with anything (sorry to get so detailed). 

If your skin isn't sensitive to fragrance you will love this line, but if you are, I would stray from this and lean towards the aloe range which I have heard is much better for sensitive skin as it is fragrance free and much more soothing. 

 

My New Favorite Makeup Remover

About two months ago I picked this up from my local Origins counter. It is the first and only cleansing oil I have ever tried. I have to say that it has sold me on the whole Cleansing Oil idea. I have rather dry and sensitive skin with mild rosacea. This takes off everything I might have on, it takes about 4 to 5 pumps, I smooth it over dry skin and massage it into my face. Its really easy and quick. The thing I love the most about this product though, is how gentle it is to my skin. There is no tugging and pulling with a wipe (which is what I have been using for many years now). It suits my dry skin and I would highly recommend anyone with normal to dry skin especially those who do not like tugging at their skin, to try this out. I am sure even slightly oily skin types would like this since it just rinses off in the end anyway. 

It is only $21.00 and I have had this bottle about two months and I haven't even used half of it. The pump only costs $1.50 so that's not bad at all.

A Quick Update

So I figured I should do a little update as to why the posts have become more far and few between. I used to work at the ever so famous Starbucks but then had the opportunity to go after a career or job dealing with makeup. I thought it a bit of a long shot but figured why not since this is the field I have been wanting to get into for forever now. I got a call from a department store asking if I was interested in working for Estee Lauder. I was shocked and thought to myself "Hell yeah I am!" So i went in for an interview. I thought it would be for a Beauty Associate position which is basically entry level. Then they asked if I would like to be their new Counter Manager. I looked at the manager like she had gone crazy, was she looking at the same application I put in? Did she know who she was interviewing. I ended up taking the position and have been settling in at my new job for about a week or two now. 

Lets just say I LOVE IT! I am so excited and there is much work to be done so that's why the posts have been a bit far between lately. Though now that I am getting into the swing of things they will be coming more often. Hope you all are well and having as blessed a day as I am.

Buxom Stay There Cream Eyeshadow

I haven't heard much about the Buxom Stay There Cream eyeshadows on youtube or on blogs for that matter, so I thought I would let all who were possibly wondering or considering purchasing, a little about this product. So these run about $18 and compared to the MAC Paint Pots or the Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream eyeshadows they are alot smaller.

The color I have is called Mutt and it is the most natural looking one in my opinion. There is another one that is a gold color but the name escapes me at the moment. 

Its a sheer wash of color that looks good under anything or on its own. Its velvety smooth and has lasted me surprisingly long for how small it is. I have been using this every day for months now and its only a dent as you can see. 

I would reccomend checking these out and seeing if you like them before purchasing. They are much softer in texture then any other cream shadow I have ever felt which is probably why I like them so much.

Overall a wonderful product but some may be off put by the small size.

  So this month has been a bit of an off month. I have gone days where I wear some makeup and days where I dont wear any makeup. I had a bit of a bad breakout recently and went a week without anything on my face trying to let my skin heal and not be bothered with piling on the makeup. However, there have been some things that have really stood out to me!

Two things I am not going to talk about too much since i have already mentioned them, the Garnier Anti-Dark Circle Roller Ball and the E.L.F Brow and Lash Gel. Both I still love and continue to use religiously. 

Something I have been using every night for about a month if not more is the Origins Clean Energy Gently Cleansing Oil. Which I plan to do a full review on soon, so watch out for that but I must say that I LOVE THIS! I never thought I would be the type to go for a oil to take off my makeup but it is so much more gently then using a traditional wipe and it really gets everything off, from foundation to eye makeup and mascara. AMAZING :)

Also another item I have been really obsessed with for over a month now is the Petite Cherie Perfume by Annick Goutal and I bought this with my points from Birchbox and I must first off say it is not cheap! I ended up spending about $50 because I used 300 points to save $30 and its only a 1.7oz. However it is unlike any other perfume I have ever smelled. Its like peaches and vanilla. It has really made its way into my heart of faves.

The last few bits are some things that I have had but recently fallen back in love with, the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum I have had for over a year and am just now about to finish up but this is a big help with frizz and especially if you are about to blow dry, curl or flat iron your hair. It provides a much smoother and polished look. The Sonia Kashuk flat top brush I have had for a while as well but I decided to try it with my foundation and holy cow, I must say it just works so well and blends so amazingly into the skin its been a must for me lately. Another one I have had for a while is the NYC mosaic bronzer and this has just been my go to, its a matte bronze that looks so natural on my skin and warms me up.
